Doug Stewart brings a diverse background that converges as a unique mix of for-profit, consulting, and not-for-profit expertise. That blend can best be summarized as “mission-driven with effectiveness”.
With over 20 years of experience owning and managing companies, Doug gained invaluable operational insights from “wearing multiple hats”—finance, marketing, HR, strategic planning, business development, client/customer relations, process improvement, and more. That extensive hands-on experience led to work as a consultant, advising clients on strategy, branding, policy development, and more. And then, for almost 10 years he has built an extensive body of experience in numerous capacities in not-for-profit organizations-- Executive Director, Interim ED, board member, board chair, consultant, board advisor, support group facilitator, and an array of volunteer work.
Armed with this unique blend, Doug deploys all his senses to yield tangible results..an observant eye for opportunities for positive change; a willing ear to hear ideas and input from others; a deft touch when dealing with conflict; a nose for improving processes, and an appetite for taking on challenges.
He adds a heart for helping purposeful organizations function better so they can amplify their impact for the people they serve. He has a reputation as a stabilizer, a consensus-builder, a servant-leader, and a difference-maker.

Doug took on the Executive Director position at Youth Forum MN at a pivotal time for the ministry.
